We would love to hear from you

It can only regarded as nuts if you buy a property without doing some sort of survey. I have seen it done, the buyer said that “it looked a little tired”, when I told him the just doing the basics would cost £30,000, he swallowed and said no, after that I had no more dealings with him.

Surveyors are highly trained and competent. Bear in mind that 13% of all purchases fail because of an adverse report. There are 3 types of survey; valuation reports, done on behalf of mortgage companies to determine the suitability of a mortgage and if there should some sort of retained portion until certain works are completed. I did have a disagreement with a survey done on a property many years ago, the surveyor said that there was evidence of subsidence. I disagreed and got another surveyor to do a full structural survey; this confirmed my view and the mortgage company stumped up the full amount. The other type is a house buyers report, it is this that needs your full attention. Make certain that your surveyor is familiar with the type of property, e.g with regards to a heritage property (one built before 1919).

I am not a qualified surveyor, but I can offer my services based on a lifetimes experience, and I’m cheaper!

Your home never looked so good.
